Burnett was associated with pre-Motown Berry Gordy in some fashion. Most of her output is made up of early Gordy songs [several co-authored with Smokey Robinson]. Flip that 45 over and you'll see what I mean.
It's my understanding that at least some of Burnett's recordings are essentially Motown productions made before Motown existed and then leased out. Gordy probably held paper on her.
As far as I know, there's only a small handful of 45s by Burnett, 3-4-5, something like that. So if you were hoping for a bunch of tunes, you may be out of luck.
Tune in now for a 24 hour webstream offering the best in obscuro 50's and 60's Rock 'n' Soul hits mixed with vintage radio spots; all specially selected by Debbie D. BYOB.
